SHA verification

A selected file is read into memory with the browser File API. Text, file bytes, algorithm choice, expected digest, and calculated result are not sent to MiluLand. After refresh or close, HashLab cannot recover them. To protect sensitive content, this tool never saves tool inputs as a workspace.

A digest is not encryption

A hash digest helps detect whether content matches; it is not reversible encryption and does not conceal short, guessable text. A published digest may help others test guesses, so do not treat plain SHA of a password or low-entropy secret as protection.

HMAC keys and copying

The HMAC key and message are used only in page memory for calculation and are not saved by HashLab. A result is written to the system clipboard only after you click copy; this site does not read the clipboard. Copied content is then controlled by the operating system, browser extensions, and other apps.

Display preferences and ads

The site uses .miluland.com domain cookies to sync language, theme, high-contrast preference, and up to 16 favorite tool IDs across MiluLand sites, with a local compatibility copy on the current site. Favorites contain only tool IDs—never inputs, files, or results—and can be cleared from the MiluLand tool directory or browser settings.

This page uses Google AdSense Auto Ads. Third parties may process cookies and ordinary network information such as IP address, browser details, and access time under their policies; HashLab does not intentionally provide files, text, HMAC keys, or digests to the ad system.
